The SIT Note is a central element of the Stay-In-Touch conversation format. It serves to capture thoughts, questions, and insights from a conversation round without formalizing or evaluating the conversation itself.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This documentation helps participants keep the content present beyond the conversation evening and, if desired, continue working with it or\u2014by mutual agreement\u2014use it as a basis for subsequent SIT rounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose of the SIT Note<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The SIT Note does not aim to create a complete transcript of the conversation. Instead, it records key aspects that are relevant to shared understanding and further engagement with the topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It creates a common reference point for what has emerged during the conversation and makes it possible to contextualize thoughts and questions even after the discussion has ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Documentation by the note-taker<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the conversation evening, the note-taker records central thoughts, responses, and outcomes in the so-called SIT Note. If sources are referenced during the discussion, they are noted in the list of sources wherever possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These notes serve as a memory record and enable the group to revisit the content, the shared conclusion, and \u2013 if applicable \u2013 topics for further exploration at a later point. References to sources may be used for review and deeper examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The note-taker assumes a supportive role. They structure and summarize the content and ensure that different perspectives are represented objectively, without introducing personal evaluations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shared conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An important component of the SIT Note is the shared conclusion at the end of the conversation round. This conclusion captures the insights gained and identifies where differing positions remain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conclusion is jointly supported by the group and reflects the course of the conversation in a condensed form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Possible ways of handling the content range from purely internal use to the anonymized sharing of selected insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SIT Note is subject to the same principles as the conversation itself. Confidentiality, respect, and responsibility are paramount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personal contributions are not shared without consent. The documentation serves shared learning, not the evaluation of individual participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confidentiality and sharing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The handling of the SIT Note is jointly agreed upon by the respective group. The group decides to what extent the content may be used or shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Different levels of confidentiality may be chosen \u2013 ranging from strictly internal use, to sharing within the SIT community, to the public release of selected content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SIT Note is subject to the same principles as the conversation itself. Confidentiality, respect, and responsibility are paramount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This attitude is explicitly articulated in the SIT Commitment and forms the foundation and starting point of every conversation round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
