Vision & Perspective

Stay-In-Touch is conceived as a long-term conversation format that supports people in remaining in dialogue with one another – even where opinions, experiences, or perspectives diverge.

The vision of SIT is not aimed at quick results or clearly defined positions, but at making a lasting contribution to mutual understanding and personal growth..

It also provides a framework for efficiently exploring ideas and topics within complex constellations, including professional contexts.

The added value of a SIT round

After a SIT round, participants leave with a deeper understanding of the topic discussed – regardless of whether their viewpoints have converged or remained different.

The added value lies not in achieving agreement, but in the conscious experience of respectful exchange within a heterogeneous group.

Through structured preparation, shared questions, and a jointly formulated conclusion, the conversation can have an impact that extends beyond the individual evening.

Personal and shared growth

Stay-In-Touch understands conversations as spaces for learning. Each round offers the opportunity to question one’s own perspectives, encounter new viewpoints, and become more aware of one’s own stance.

At the same time, collective reflection creates a shared space of insight that strengthens mutual understanding – even where differences remain.

Experience shows that even with the very first question addressed, the perspectives of the prepared participant and all others involved can open up unforeseen viewpoints, leading to new and more balanced positions than previously thought possible.

Visibility and documentation

The results of a SIT round are recorded in a shared SIT Note. This documentation makes it possible to revisit insights, open questions, and further topics after the conversation has ended.

Depending on the group’s decision, this content may remain confidential, be shared within a community, or – in selected cases – be made public.

Community and networking

Within local groups, Stay-In-Touch can develop into a shared culture of conversation. Topics, insights, and questions remain visible and can be taken up or explored further in subsequent rounds.

In this way, a loose yet sustainable network of people emerges who wish to engage with topics together without becoming confined to closed spaces of opinion.

An open and learning format

Stay-In-Touch is deliberately designed as an open format. It does not claim completeness or infallibility, but understands itself as a learning framework.

The conversational structure can be adapted to different contexts, as long as the fundamental attitude and the shared commitment are upheld.

Outlook

The perspective of Stay-In-Touch lies in preserving and creating spaces for dialogue – wherever the ability to engage in conversation is needed and diversity of viewpoints persists.

Not as a counter-model to existing formats, but as an invitation to understand conversation once again as shared learning.

Ideally, there would be at least ten people in one location who are interested in participating regularly in SIT rounds and who are willing to organize themselves and their topics collectively. (Approaches to this can be discussed upon request.)

With a sufficient user base, a cross-cutting organization of developed content in the form of a platform with thematic areas and shared use of public group results would be possible.

In this way, SIT could become a grassroots, participatory tool that fosters genuine growth through regular exchange and reflection – potentially extending to regional or even political initiatives.
